Fonderia was appointed as production and executive coordination partner for the Alda Merini Classic Lounge at Milan Malpensa Airport — a large-scale airport hospitality environment designed with a strong visual identity and a distinctly unconventional character.
Our scope covered the complete executive coordination of the fit-out, the production of custom-made furniture and millwork, and the direct on-site installation. Every element was engineered and manufactured on commission, tailored to the spatial requirements and brand language of the lounge — from the reception desk to the acoustic ceiling elements and bespoke seating areas.
The project required managing a complex installation within an operational airport environment, coordinating deliveries and site access across multiple phases to meet strict opening deadlines.
